It doesn't get any fresher than this: spring onions, radishes, lettuce and more are now coming directly from the Tyrolean fields, freshly harvested onto the plates of the Tyrolean people, via SPAR. from Monday May 30 to Saturday June 4, SPAR will showcase fresh vegetables in the entrance area of the SPAR supermarkets. Crunchy radishes, grown by the Norz family from Thaur, or fresh mixed lettuce from Zirl, harvested by the Falkner family, will be presented. The vegetable week is a component of the SPAR regionality program, focusing on Tyrolean food.

SPAR is putting the spotlight on these six vegetables from May 30 to June 4: spring onions, iceberg lettuce, mixed lettuce, cabbage ears, kohlrabi and radishes. These local vegetables are now in season and represent the best of Tyrol. It goes without saying that Tyrolean vegetable farmers deliver to SPAR throughout Tyrol via the shortest routes.

Long-standing partnerships Behind these vegetables are Tyrolean farming families, some of whom have been SPAR partner farms for decades. Like Josef and Theresa Norz from the Schotthof in Thaur, who supply not only radishes but also spring onions and lettuce to SPAR. In the Thaur fields, Anton Giner and Josef Wopfner grow vegetables for SPAR on family-run farms. Other SPAR vegetable partners are the Falkner family from Zirl and the Strillinger family from Kufstein.

SPAR motto: Priority for Tyrol Short transport routes, maximum freshness and local quality: consumers demand this more than ever today. They find what they are looking for at SPAR, where 2,400 regional Tyrolean groceries are available. This is done either by direct delivery to one or more supermarkets, or by processing via the headquarters in Wörgl, from where SPAR distributes the Tyrolean products throughout the entire province. SPAR's partners are around 150 local producers. They range from fruit and vegetable farmers, fresh meat producers, alpine dairies and bakeries to frozen food producers.
