With much of SoCal facing triple-digit heat starting Wednesday and into Labor Day, some officials are warning residents to take precautions, such as staying hydrated, staying indoors or finding a cooling center during peak hours.
Below are some locations that will open to the public during the heat wave:
The City of Pasadena will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. The Pasadena Fire Department said they will evaluate whether the center will remain open for additional days.
Those in the City of Long Beach have several options:
In the City of Los Angeles, all public libraries will be available for cooling starting Wednesday and additional centers will be open through Labor Day, according to the LA City Emergency Management Department. The centers will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Those in the San Fernando Valley can head to Las Palmas Park, at 505 S. Huntington St.
Temple City will open a cooling center at Live Oak Park Community Center from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. through Sept. 5.

City of Palmdale officials have announced that the Palmdale City Library, at 700 E. Palmdale Blvd., will be open from 11 a.m. Wednesday through 8 p.m. Sept. 5 as a designated cooling center open to people of all ages.
The Rosemead Community Recreation Center at 3936 North Muscatel Ave. will be open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.
The City of Garden Grove will open a public cooling center from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Monday at the Garden Grove Sports and Recreation Center, at 13641 Deodara Drive.
The City of Irvine will only have two cooling centers open during the Labor Day holiday, including:
