A public health department worker checks the temperature of waffle mix.
Here are the food service inspections reported by the Onondaga County Health Department from May 8 to 14:

Inspection done 1:30 p.m. May 11, 2022
Critical violations: Two gallon containers of dish washing chemicals stored directly above bread on wire shelving in bread storage area (corrected - chemicals moved from bread area and placed in chemical storage area).
Preparation top cooler at end of cook line not maintaining temperatures of less than 45 degrees. Food temperatures recorded between 49 and 56 degrees and were out of temperature for an undetermined amount of time. Potentially hazardous foods inside voluntary discarded: 1 cup of sliced tomatoes, 1 cup of cooked corn, 1 quart of buttermilk, 32 ounces of liquid eggs, 5 cups of shredded cheese, 1 cup of caramelized onions and 5 cups of mole sauce.
Violations: Case of champagne stored directly on floor at bar. Case of frozen berries stored directly on floor in walk-in freezer.
Several squeeze bottles containing food products lack labels.
Single service item (lacking handle) used as scoop and stored in food product (salt) in upstairs dry storage area.
One employee observed preparing food without a proper hair restraint.
Wire shelving across from bread storage area and wire shelving in basement storage area not clean.
Floor drains below three-bay sink in kitchen and below three-bay sink at bar not clean.
Hand wash sinks at bar and in basement preparation area lack soap and paper towels.
Exterior of grease receptacle has heavy grease accumulation, not clean. Grease receptacle lid left open while not in use.
Rear door left propped (inadequate insect control).
Wall in kitchen by freezer not clean.
Ventilation hood at grill not operational.

Critical violation: Prep top cooler across from the cookline contains food that is out of temperature. Top and bottom are operating at 51 to 52 degrees for an undetermined amount of time. The following potentially hazardous foods discarded: diced tomato, sliced tomato, and three vegan beyond burger patties. All other foods in cooler also discarded, but not hazardous, were various dressings, lettuce, mayo, cheese, onions, and other salad toppings (quality may have been compromised).
Violation: Floor drain at bar contains some accumulated food debris (should be cleaned out nightly).
